On December 6, 2024, the Tengchong Scientists Forum opened at the Tengchong Science Hall. The forum, co-hosted by the People's Government of Yunnan Province and the China Association for Science and Technology, focused on the theme of "Science, Global Innovation, and the Mission of Scientists—Empowering High-Quality Development with Technology." The event gathered top global scientists, academicians, university presidents, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs, focusing on cutting-edge trends in scientific and technological innovation, and in-depth discussions on topics such as technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, digital economy, and artificial intelligence.

From December 6 to 7, the forum held activities for the release (showcase) of technological innovation achievements and the integration of application conversion, presenting over 200 domestic technological achievements at the advanced level. "Unionscience Industrial Controllers (PLCs)" were highlighted as one of the 12 key technological achievements in the fields of digital technology and artificial intelligence.
